I AM THE RESSURECTION AN THE LIFE
I AM THE RESSURECTION AN THE LIFE“I am the ressurection and the life” After Jesus body was reverently laid in the tomb and the day before his glorious ressurection. We wait in great silence and stillness, yet with prayerful expectation, because we hold the hope that Jesus will rise from the dead as he promised.
(Scripture Reflection John 11:25)
We need not let ourselves be weighed down by the heavy cross that Jesus bore or his dismail death on calvary. It is a day of preparation for the Easter for the dawn of Easter. It is a day of hope and faith in the Redeemer who through his cross invites us to live a new life in and with him. He calls us to change our hearts and commit ourselves to him. He wants to take us from the darkness of sin into his radiant light.
We are children of the ressurection. Christ is the Begining and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, who will illumine our way through the darkness. At the lighting of the Paschal candle we acknowledge that we sincerely want to leave behind this life of sin and darkness and entrer his wonderful light, so that we can start anew and become more like him.
The last day of the Holy Week is the last day of sadness and tears. At the Easter Vigil Service Alleluia will be the song.....
