| Sat 20/02/2021 | Is. 58:10 – “If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday.” We pray that governments and people all over the world may work towards equality and justice across all social strata, and without discrimination. |
| Sunday 21/02/2021 | 2 Mac 8:18 - “We trust in the Almighty God, who is able with a single nod to strike down those who are coming against us, and even, if necessary, the whole world.” We pray for all soldiers at the borders that the Lord may protect them, comfort them in their times of loneliness and fear, and give them strength and courage. |
| Mon 22/02/2021 | Sir. 2:11 – “For the Lord is compassionate and merciful; he forgives sins and saves in time of distress.” We pray that all those contemplating suicide and murder may be touched by the Lord, and may have a change of heart, having felt God’s infinite love and mercy. |
| Tue 23/02/2021 | Mt. 6:12 – “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” We pray that all of us and our families may constantly strive to forgive, and let the peace of God reign in our hearts and lives. |
| Wed 24/02/2021 | Lk. 10:25- “Teacher,” he said, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” We pray that as we move through lent our hearts maybe focused on eternal life in all our thoughts, words and actions. |
| Thur 25/02/2021 | Mt. 7:12 – “In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.” We pray that we may always treat others with mutual respect and love, knowing that Jesus lives in everyone. |
| Fri 26/02/2021 | Eze. 18:27 – “Again, when the wicked turn away from the wickedness they have committed and do what is lawful and right, they shall save their life.” We pray for the conversion of hardened sinners that they will be witnesses of God’s love and that they may attain eternal life. |
| Sat 27/02/2021 | Heb 13:3- “Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them; those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.” We pray for the prisoners most of them innocent that they may experience the loving presence of Jesus through the work of the prison ministry. |
| Sun 28/02/2021 | Mat 5:48- “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” We pray for all the Kalina-Kurla prayer group leaders, core EC/ZC/BPN representative, that they may strive for perfection and be models of the living Christ to their prayer group members and parishioners. |
